David H. Long (Dave) has 30 years of experience overseeing the administration of trusts and estates for international and regional corporate trustees, and as a practicing attorney serving clients in their estate, tax and business planning. Previously, Dave held positions of CEO of The Private Trust Consortium, a membership organization to support individual trustees, CEO and Vice President for Zia Trust, Inc., including oversight of its new and rapidly-growing Arizona office, and as Senior Vice President of The Northern Trust Company and Manager of Estate Settlement Services for its West Region.

Dave has managed the trusteeship of all types and complexities of trusts and post-death settlements, and fiduciary oversight, management and sale of trust assets both nationally and internationally. He has gained extensive experience in managing oil, gas and mineral interests of all types, from working interests to passive royalty interests, negotiating leases and sales, and overseeing well closures. He has acted as trustee and personal representative for a portfolio of thousands of such interests. Dave has managed dispute and tax resolution for estates and trusts before the courts and with the I.R.S. and State and foreign tax authorities. He has served families and businesses nationally and around the world.

Dave is a former member of the Illinois and Arizona State Bar Associations, the Arizona State Bar Probate and Trust and Tax Sections, the Maricopa County Bar Association Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Section, and Scottsdale Estate Planners. Dave has served on numerous committees and boards, and most recently as Director for the Central Arizona Estate Planning Council.
