Phillip Sewell is a Trust Officer in Dunham Trust Company’s Reno office, where he plays a key role in the administration of complex trusts, with particular experience in special needs trusts. He works closely with fellow Trust Officers to ensure thoughtful, compliant trust management tailored to each client’s circumstances. In addition to his trust responsibilities, Phillip helps coordinate the firm’s guardianship and conservatorship matters, overseeing bill payment, monitoring court compliance, and supporting case managers in meeting the ongoing care needs of vulnerable clients.
Phillip brings a strong legal foundation to his work, having spent five years with the Washoe County District Court and more than eight years as a paralegal in private law firms and in a corporate legal department. He recently graduated from the Cannon Financial Trust School program and is pursuing the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation. He is an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Northern Nevada and serves on the Young Professionals Committee of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada, where he supports fundraising initiatives and community engagement efforts aimed at recruiting dedicated volunteer mentors.
A native Nevadan, Phillip was born in Las Vegas and has called the Reno area home for over a decade. Outside of work, he enjoys attending sporting events, watching movies, and exploring Northern Nevada’s local breweries with his wife and French bulldog, Taryn Tino.
